What is the difference between POP3 and IMAP?
The main difference is that IMAP enables you to read the mail without downloading it onto your local computer. All the operations are done on the server and not on the user’s equipment as with POP3.
In addition, it permits the simultaneous connection of multiple users or the mail managing programmes of one same owner.
It permits the partial or full obtaining of the messages and their attachments, as well as, support for searches on the part of the server.
